The following describes the areas of help, but if the matter you are dealing with is not described below, please contact me. Together we will try to clarify whether psychotherapy can be a helpful tool for you.
If you face mood swings and self-esteem, increased fatigue, concentration problems or sleep disturbances, it is likely possible that you are struggling with depression or other mood disorders.
Depressive disorders are one of the most common diseases. Unfortunately, they are diagnosed relatively rarely. This disorder can occur in many forms and in various levels of severity (from mild to severe). Psychotherapy effectively helps to release from tormenting thoughts and flooding moods
Anxiety is a natural emotional state existing in everyday life. It might be a normal reaction to stressful situations and challenges. However, for some people sensitive individuals the state of anxiety lasts longer and is more severe. Extended anxiety and tension may become a serious disorder, affecting your wellbeing. Overwhelming anxiety becomes a problem which takes control over your life.
Who am I and what do I think about myself? The answer to these two questions has the causative power to shape many aspects of life. You give it on a base of previous experiences and challenges. Let’s see if the voice inside of your head belongs to a friend or a critic who will not tolerate a slightest stumble? It is worth listening to the voice that accompanies us almost 24 hours a day, it may turn out that starting the discussion may be very profitable
Relations are one of the key areas of life. They are the source of both, satisfaction and strong tensions. Lack of significant relationships or, in contrary, too strong connections may affect on perception of reality and self-esteem. Personality evolves in time and our relationships with others evolve. Some connections need to be redefined, while others change their strength.
Therapy gives you the opportunity to look at the meaningful relationships in our lives, the needs that we have or the expectations that we try to fulfill. How the misunderstandings or difficulties in establishing contact origin? How may things go differently?
Violence can occur in many forms, both physical and emotional. Each of them leaves a significant mark on functioning and the personality of the victim. Long-term exposure to violence cause a sense of helplessness and loneliness.
While moving to Poland you may encounter numerous challenges. Apart from the demanding language, you also have to deal with other culture, customs and norms. How to cope with various traps and keep the joy of life? You can feel alone while your friends and family have stayed in another country. Making new acquaintances takes time. Things may not be simplified by stereotypes related to the country of your origin. It also happens in some stressful situations (like for e.x. moving to another country) the problems and disorders that the individual has already struggeled increase their intensivity.
Improve your Quality of Life
Stress, fear, difficulties in relationships, as well as emotions and mood changes that are difficult to understand may appear at any stage of your life. If you feel constricted by the lack of assertiveness or timidity, or if you find it difficult to build satisfactory and lasting relationships with others, psychotherapy may help you. During the meetings, I help in learning connections between one’s own emotions, thoughts, behaviour and events from the past. We search for answers to the questions about where the difficulties came from and what we can do to improve your well-being and quality of life.
In my psychologist office named „Stressless”, I offer help with difficulties in handling stress and fear, emotional disorders and depressive disorders. FAQ
Please see our frequently asked questions and answers.
Can I make an appointment for a live session?
Yes. My psychologist office is located at Baśniowa 3/508 in Ochota (a district of Warsaw). Please contact me to make the first appointment for psychological consultation.
Can I make an appointment for online session?
Yes. I conduct online sessions using Skype or Zoom. Please contact me to arrange the date of the first psychological consultation. Make sure you are comfortable before starting an online session. The session should take place in a room where no outsider will hear what you are saying.
Can I cancel my appointment?
If you are unable to reach the appointment, you can cancel it by e-mail, phone, text message or via the contact form. Please cancel the session at least 24 hours before the scheduled meeting, otherwise the session will be treated as fully paid. The fee for a prepaid but cancelled in advance session is refunded. It can also be assigned to our future meetings.
Is the therapist bound by professional secrecy?
Yes. The psychotherapist is bound by professional secrecy. It covers all information from therapy, as well as the very fact of coming to the sessions. The exception is a situation where the life or health of the patient or third parties is at risk. Each psychotherapist should supervise his/her work, i.e. discuss it with an experienced therapist (supervisor). During this discussion, the supervisor does not know the client’s data so he does not know who the client is.
Is it possible to arrange couples therapy sessions?
Unfortunately, in my psychologist office I only work with individual patients. If a couple decides to undergo joint therapy with a psychologist specializing in couples therapy, it is very often advisable that each of the partners begins their individual therapy. This allows you to better understand and deal with the problem. In such a situation, please contact me.
Does the first session oblige me to start therapy?
No. After the first session, you have the opportunity to decide whether you want to start therapy or not.
Is therapy for me? It's hard for me to pinpoint my problem.
During the trial session, we define the area of difficulty you are facing and we have the opportunity to determine whether the problem you are experiencing can be the subject of therapy.
